The Venue

Black Mountain, NC – 30 minutes east of Asheville is a small quaint mountain town is know for its artists, boutique shops, hiking, golf, breweries, and distilleries. As you wander the streets of downtown Black Mountain, you’re surrounded by mountain ranges. Did you know that Roberta Flack was born in Black Mountain?!?

We’ll be spending 4 nights, tucked away on two acres in a gated neighborhood home, surrounded by trees and mountain ranges. Each room has stellar views, matched only by the outdoor hot tub, where you can watch the sun set while soaking after a day of hiking.

Full of spacious bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living areas with fireplaces, game room and a large outdoor porch, there’s plenty of places to relax and rejuvenate.

This retreat will help you transition into the colder days with warmth, healthy practices and connecting with other enthusiasts in a small, intimate setting. You’ll be supported by nature, guided practices and community.

This trip is adult focused and partners are encouraged to join.

This retreat is for you, and your partner if they choose to join, to embrace the seasonal transformation that improves your well-being.

As much as Asheville is Pet friendly, especially dog, we are not welcoming pets to the retreat.

Of course not! You are in control of your own choices and where your journey will take you.

That being said, our set itinerary is developed to support you and your transition in mind. It’s intended to assist you in the transformation you desire, and you won’t want to miss even a step along the way.

Black Mountain is located 15 minutes East of Asheville, NC.

Arriving to the area by plane:

Fly into Asheville (AVL), Charlotte (CLT) or Greenville-Spartan (GSP).

Rental cars are available at the airport or arrange transportation (from AVL only) with Carol at info@bodhi-ayurveda.com

Arriving by car:

Plan accordingly to arrive in the Black Mountain area by 4pm on Friday, October 13th.

The Address for the location will be provided closer to the trip weekend.

Absolutely!

All meals will be primarily vegetarian, no meat or fish.
We’ll be sending an intake form to all participants to understand your dietary requirements and restrictions. Please be specific about your allergies, sensitivities or intolerances.

If you are interested in exploring the natural sites or cities in the afternoon, it may be helpful to rent a car for the weekend. Asheville, though a growing town, doesn’t have a reliable source of ride shares or taxis. The AVL airport has rental car companies on site.

We’ll have at least one vehicle to take participants to local sites and arrange airport transportation.

Yes, we always highly recommend travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and medical coverage. Be sure to read the fine print, as policies can differ greatly.

While you’re at it, be sure to confirm with your travel insurance provider what Covid-19-related issues are covered and to what extent.

The weather in Black Mountain in October can vary from sunny to rainy with highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s.

When you prepare for this transformational weekend, think comfortable, casual and layers. You won’t need anything dressy, so trade the dress shoes in for hiking boots.

With cool mornings, warming afternoons and potential rain, bring layers and protective gear.

For the yoga sessions, we’ll have a limited supply of equipment. Please bring a mat, belt and other props that you can.

Where we encourage taking this time to unplug from electronics and plug into nature, we’ll have internet access.

Your safety is important to us!

At this time participant are not required to have proof of vaccination or wear masks. We recommended to test for COVID-19 no more than three days before their arrival at the retreat. Rapid testing will be available onsite. Participant are solely responsible for complying with all COVID-19 travel requirements of their departure and destination country. We reserve the right to adjust this policy to reflect changes in the environment.
