Savory Quinoa Breakfast
INGREDIENTS
1 TBSP Ghee
1 Cinnamon Stick (1 inch)
3 Green Cardamon pods
3 Cloves
1 tsp Shroto Shudhi Masala
1 Cup Quinoa
1/2 Cup Shredded Carrot
1/2 tsp Soma Salt
3 Cups Water
1/2 Lime
Chopped Cilantro
DIRECTIONS
- Melt Ghee in saucepan over medium heat.
- Add Cinnamon stick, Green Cardamom pods, cloves and masala. Toast until fragrant.
- Stir in Carrots and Quinoa until coated.
- Add Water and Salt.
- Allow to simmer until Quinoa is fully cooked.
- Allow to cool to eating temperature. Add Lime and Cilantro to taste.
- Serve warm.
NOTES:
I love the look of rainbow quinoa in this dish, just make sure all varieties of quinoa are fully cooked.
