Sorghum Granola with Nuts, Fruit and Ginger

INGREDIENTS

DRY INGREDIENTS

2 Cups Organic Oat flakes

1/2 Cup shelled Hemp Seeds

1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts and Seeds

3/4 teaspoon Sweet Masala Spices

1/2 teaspoon Soma Salt

WET INGREDIENTS

4.5 Oz Sorghum Syrup

1/4 Cup fresh squeezed Orange juice

2 Tablespoon Olive Oil

POST COOKING INGREDIENTS

1/2 Cup dried Fruit (cranberries, raisins, goldenberry, etc)

1/4 Cup Candied Ginger, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat Oven to 350F. Prepare a Baking Sheet or Jelly Roll Pan with Parchment Paper or Silocone Mat.
  • Mix together dry ingredients (Oats, Hemp, Nuts/Seeds, Masala Spices, Salt) and set aside.
  • Whisk together wet ingredients (Sorghum syrup, orange juice and Olive oil).
  • Add wet and dry mixture together and toss till all dry ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Spread mixture onto Pan until thinly and equally distributed.
  • Cook up to 20 Minutes. Rotate Granola every 5-7 minutes for even baking. Remove when Granola is relatively dry.
  • Move Granola from pan to glass bowl, let it cool.
  • Add Post Cooking Ingredients (dried fruit and candied Ginger).
  • Toss and store in an airtight container.

NOTES:

Rotating the granola during baking is key to prevent burning.
